"Do the thing you fear to do and keep on doing it;
that is the quickest and surest way ever yet discovered to conquer fear.
"

Dale Carnegie

Have you ever dreaded picking up the phone and making a call to resolve a problem.  Have you thought about asking someone out on a date and cannot get up the courage.  Dale Carnegie had an answer to this when he said, "Do the thing you fear to do and keep on doing it; that is the quickest and surest way ever yet discovered to conquer fear."

The more you think about a situation you need to take care of the more reasons you can find to put it off.  Often you wait until it is too late in the day to make the call and decide to do it the next day.

You see the person you would love to date and just say, "Hello", and go on your way. You  may have gotten a no, but you just could have gotten that date. Instead of a date you think of what you might say next time.

The quickest way to solve a fear is to face it head on and bravely "Just do it" as the Nike commercial says.  Yes, that is easier said than done, but the more you think about a fear the more ingrained it becomes.  Make a decision that you are going to get busy and overcome the little things you are uncomfortable with.  As you overcome smaller things, the bigger ones become easier to tackle.

Keep doing the things that hold you back the most in your life. Tackle them head-on. The more often you confront your fears the easier they are to overcome completely.
