"The
longer we dwell on our misfortunes, the greater is their power to harm
us"
Voltaire
Voltaire died in 1778 and yet his words live on. In this case
they tell
of the destruction our thinking can create.
When you keep focusing on problems in your life, they will tend to
manifest
themselves even stronger. What you focus on is what you get.
The more you focus on misfortune, the more harm you do yourself.
When you
worry, stress increases, health deteriorates and your attitude
diminishes.
Who do you know who is always down? Hopefully not you. They
never
seem to be happy. When they are happy they feel guilty and go
back to
being depressed. The more they focus on the negatives in their
lives, the
more they increase.
