Many people race through life accomplishing
marvelous
things. They seem to get more done in a month than others get
done in a
year. They are the go getters; the movers and shakers.
For the rest of us going slower seems to be better. Ralph
Waldo Emerson said it in this quote, "Adopt the
pace of nature: her secret is patience." There are
times we
need to rush to finish things, but in the scheme of things Emerson had
the
right idea. Take things at natures pace.
Take weight loss. You can join some fad diet and lose a lot of weight
quickly.
More likely than not you will gain the weight back plus some when you
stop the
diet. In addition, the diet may not be healthy and your body will
suffer
because of it.
When you do it nature's way and lose a little at a time over a longer
period,
you have a better change of maintaining your weight loss.
Remember,
nature's secret is patience.
Many things we try to learn or do are not extremely important to master
in a
very short time. We can take the relaxed viewpoint and learn at a
pace
that relaxes us instead of stressing our very being.
