I do not care if you are Christian or atheist, the next quote from the
Bible could play an important part in your life.
It is, "Ask, and it shall be
given you; seek; and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you.
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to
him that knocketh it shall be opened. [Matthew 7:7-8]"
Break this down into its parts and look at it carefully and you can find
some very profound truths about getting more out of your life.
"Ask, and it shall be given you....For every one that asketh receiveth" If
you think about this, you may recall how it has already played in important
part in your life. How many times have you asked a favor of a friend
or asked your spouse or even you parents for something you thought they might
refuse? Then, to your surprise they gave you what you asked for.
Maybe you were afraid to ask for a raise and finally out of desperation
confronted your boss and requested more money. Surprise, the boss
gave it to you.
If you are in a restaurant, ask for a better seat, you will often get
it. When you are given an item in a color you do not really want, do
not accept it; ask if you can get it in green.
Just asking will often get you more than you could imagine.
"Seek; and you shall find....he that seeketh findeth" Have you ever
worried about something and them finally made a phone call or did an online
search and found an answer to your problem? At the moment you got the answer
you felt relieved.
Have you ever just decided to make one last call or send in one last
application and you got the job or found love of your life (online dating)?
You cannot find what you are not looking for. It is time you became
in seeker in more things in your life.
Finally, knock and it shall be opened unto you....to him that knocketh
it shall be opened" You have to knock on the doors of life to get them
opened. If you do not knock on the college door of your choice, how
will you be accepted? If you knock on the door of love, surely it
will be opened to you if you are persistent.
Ask, Seek and Knock. These are simple keys to success; success
in all areas of your life. Start looking for more opportunities.
Ask more people to help you find them. Knock on doors both literally
and figuratively to have opportunities opened to you.
