Because things are the way they are, things will not stay the way they are.

Change is inevitable. We grow older; we grow smarter; we change with time. Because time moves forward so do we. Bertolt Brecht said the same thing in this quote, "Because things are the way they are, things will not stay the way they are."

Another quote I recall is, "You can never go home". It says the same thing. In this case meaning that you cannot return to where you have been and find it the way you left it. When you try to return to times gone by, people changed and even neighborhoods changed. You can return to the place you used to call home, but it will be different as time goes by.

This is what makes life better in many ways; "change". Change is what gives you new opportunities and new adventures. "Things will not stay the way they are".
